Merchandising Vehicles

Best Practices:

• All photos and videos in landscape format.
• Photograph and video during daylight, avoid rain & night time when possible.
• Still .jpeg or .png images only
• For iPhone users: Open the Settings app and tap Camera -> Formats. Then, tap Most Compatible.
• Remove major trash and debris from vehicle.
• If car is high value, washing or rinsing the vehicle is recommended.
• Document any major flaws or accidents to help buyers bid accordingly.
  

Recommended Images/Videos to Capture:

For most optimal visual merchandising, images should be captured sequentially in the following order. Refer to the grid below for vehicle order. 

Note: Videos can added last (see #13 below)

For vehicles WITH keys (or doors can be opened):

1. Front Right
2. Front Left
3. Rear Right
4. Rear Left
5. Front Interior
6. Rear Interior
7. Odometer / Cluster
8. Vin Tag Sticker
9. Engine bay
10. Catalytic Converters and/or undercarriage
11. Keys (if applicable)
12. Close up shot of damage, deployed airbags, etc. (if applicable)
13. Video of vehicle starting & running (if applicable)

For vehicles WITHOUT keys (or doors cannot be opened):

1. Front Right
2. Front Left
3. Rear Right
4. Rear Left
5. Vin Tag Sticker (through window)
6. Engine bay (if hood can be opened)
7. Catalytic Converters and/or undercarriage
8. Close up shot of damage, deployed airbags, etc. (if applicable)
